Cross Country Skiing In The Woods

This tour is seasonal and only operates from December through to April

Your guide brings you by car to the beautiful Ounasvaara hill near Rovaniemi town. You will receive the necessary equipment for your adventure including skis, poles, shoes and outdoor clothing. Your skiing instructor tells you about the cross-country skiing and instructs the skiing techniques.


In the beginning you learn basic skills such as how to slide and stop, how to use the poles and how to fall down safely. During the trip you train your skills and learn also how to ski up and down the hills. In the Lappish tent you'll have a rest and enjoy a cup of coffee by the open fire.

The trip lasts for 3 hours and covers up to three and a half miles (six kilometers)!
