The Montreal Tower Observatory is located in the highest inclined tower in the world, with an elevation of 575 feet (175 meters) and 45-degree angle. The Tower of Pisa, by comparison, has a 5-degree angle. You reach the Observatory by a 2-level glass funicular that can accommodate 76 passengers at a time. The trip to the top takes approximately 2 minutes.

The view of Montreal is as unique as it is exceptional. On a clear day, you can see up to 50 miles (80 km) all around, including the Laurentian Mountains. It is not surprising that the Montreal Tower is a member of the World Federation of Great Towers, next to, among others, the CN Tower in Toronto, the Empire State Building in New York and the Menara Tower in Kuala Lumpur.

The guided tours are 30 minutes long and begin with a brief history of the 1976 Olympic Games. Afterwards, experienced guides take you to the Sports Centre, where you can admire the impressive Olympic pools and the Olympic Stadium.
