On the left bank of the Seine river is the Paris neighborhood of St Germain des Pres, famous for literary cafes, artistic life and a reputation for excellence in gastronomy. Your English speaking guide will lead you on a walking tour through various delicious places including pastry shops, cafes and restaurants.

Your Paris Food Walking Tour - Latin Quarter is guided by a culinary specialist (gastronomical journalist, culinary event specialist, restaurant owner or chef) who is a gastronomy expert, not just an official licensed guide. The small group size on your tour allows easy access to the products and customized recommendations from your guide.

The itinerary is pre-defined but may be altered according to the groups' wishes, with additional stops or a reallocation of time. It is essential to call the tour operator (contact details advised on confirmation voucher) prior to departure to reconfirm your departure point.

The itinerary includes visiting two restaurants, two cafes, a tea shop and three pastry shops throughout the Paris neighborhood of St Germain des Pres.

Your guide will give a general description of French food habits, a description of seasonal events and an introduction to selected specialties in the main shops. You will learn how they are produced, how to choose them, how to store them and eventually give recipes. Interaction is the rule - ask as many questions as you like!

Your walking tour concludes at St Sulpice church which has recently been in the spotlight due to its role in The Da Vinci Code film and book.
