On this tour you will visit a portion of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge that no driving tourist can reach. This refuge was established by Congress in 1980 to preserve the coastal dune ecosystem, to protect threatened and endangered species, to provide compatible recreational opportunities, and to serve as a living laboratory for students and scientists, Regularly and recently observed birds in BSNWR: Red-bellied Woodpecker, Belted King Fisher, Great Blue Heron, Osprey, Blue Jay, Eastern Bluebird, Northern Mockingbird, Northern Cardinal.
All Wild Native Tours are led by experienced Coastal Nature Guides who will introduce you to the fauna, flora and history of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge and Gulf Shores.
Sections of the Bon Secour River, the Intracoastal Waterway and Oyster Bay are also seen along this tour.
