We will travel north of Bucharest, an area bordered by old forests and clear lakes, past one of the most expensive residential areas in the Romania to visit the following place:

  • Mogosoaia Palace is the former residence of Wallachian princes in the 18th century. Built between 1698 – 1702, the palace is the most remarkable construction in the Romanian Renaissance style, an architectural style which combines in a striking manner Byzantine-Ottoman elements with Baroque and Western Renaissance. After a visit inside the landmark, we shall admire the domain with its beautiful gardens and greenhouses.
  • Snagov Monastery is said to be the final resting place of another Wallachian prince, Vlad the Impaler, also known as Dracula. Located on an island, the 15th century Christian-Orthodox monastery with its original paintings and tower is a monument of medieval art. By learning the story of this place of worship, we shall also uncover the life story of the infamous Prince Vlad.
