We include bicycles and kayaks as an optional activity for your group. This is an active vacation. We take care of all the details and visit the most scenic and sought after spots in California. We follow the backroads of California's beach town communities and offer everyone opportunities to indulge in great sunshine and exercise - California style! Stops are made in Santa Barbara and Solvang and Monterey for wine tasting. You'll even be able to kayak and bike ride on epic beach paths. This trip offers about 10 miles/day by bicycle on dedicated bike paths where no cars are allowed. No more sharing the road with high speed buses and cars on highways.

This is an 8-day and 7-night adventure on the Golden Coast of California from Los Angeles to San Francisco. This summer tour takes you on an active vacation that includes bicycles and kayaks as an optional activity for your group. Stops are made in Santa Barbara, Solvang, Monterey for wine tasting, and even bike rides on the beach.
DAY 1 and 2. Los Angeles
Our first destination is the most famous beach in Southern California- Venice Beach. Here is where the hipsters of the movie capital come to relax and enjoy the surf. Here, we offer a bike ride along the coast on a dedicated bike path to Santa Monica with lunch at the Pier. Be ready to see stars or even become part of the filming of a movie on this famous beach.
DAY 3. Santa Barbara
This quaint village by the sea is heavily influenced by it's Spanish history. We will ride bikes for about 10 miles along incredible beach pathways that provide everyone a good workout and introduce you to the cultural vibe of the the Central Coast. The bike ride follows dedicated bike paths along the Santa Barbara coastline. We will stop for lunch after riding through the University of California Santa Barbara, a college downtown of Isla Vista.
DAY 3. SOLVANG
This quaint Danish community is in the heart of the best wine growing region of Central California. Windmills and rolling hills welcome us as we ride on bikes through the wine country. We will stop at 3 vineyards for a sampling of their finest Pinots, Sirah and Cabernets.
DAY 4. Hearst Castle
We make a stop and will tour inside the Hearst Castle. Owned by William Randolf Heart the 3rd of the newspaper empire the San Francisco Chronicle. This amazing property includes a private zoo, pieces of furniture and statues that were purchased by William from many European castles. Here on the bluff facing the Pacific this property boosts the most fantastic views of the the whale migrations just below. Your tour admission is included.
DAY 5. Monterey
We will bike the city where Steinbeck lived. Follow along bike paths and ride along the famous 17-mile drive for a lunch stop overlooking the sea. This city offer picturesque dedicated bike paths that take you to seals along the beach. We will kayak after a hearty clam chowder meal in the historic center of town. This old fishing village now is a hipster environment with wine tasting and a museum.
DAY 6, 7 and 8. San Francisco
We check into our hotel in the late afternoon allowing you ample time to stroll the downtown, take a cable car or even a boat excursion. We have an optional ride set out to finalize our trip from beach to beach with an epic ride across the Golden Gate bridge. We recommend that you book extra night at our host hotel: Hyatt Embarcedero. We will offer a shuttle service to your airport or Amtrak station to conclude.
