Governors Island is only 800 yards from Manhattan and it was off-limits to the public for 200 years. This former military base is now New York’s greatest new park. You will take a short 8-minute ferry ride from Manhattan that offers amazing views of the harbor. Then you will head out to explore the historic buildings, walk along landscaped paths, learn about three centuries of New York History, and take in breathtaking views of the city from the harbor. You won't believe you're so close to the hustle and bustle of Wall Street across the water.

To meet your guide you will need to take the ferry from either the Battery Maritime Building or Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6 in Brooklyn. This tour is designed for tourists, locals, families, and groups of friends. You’ll visit more than thirty locations and come away with a new appreciation for the area.
