You’ll have the time of your life in this full day excursion to Catalina Island on your boat, El Fieston. This tiny islet is situated just off the coast and you’ll find fine white sand, waving coconut palms, crystal clear waters and some of the best snorkeling to be found in the Caribbean.
There’s something for everyone here, whether you looking for relaxation or to be a bit more active. After being picked up from your hotel we’ll drive through the lush Dominican countryside, past fields of sugar cane and through plantations of tropical fruit. On the way we’ll make a stop at the Altos de Chavon. This reproduction of a medieval European village was built in the 1970's by a Hollywood set designer. You’ll find excellent restaurants, quirky shops selling the wares of local craftspeople as well as the extravagant homes of the rich and famous.
At the charming port of La Romana we’ll board a catamaran and set sail for Catalina Island. We’ll stop for some snorkeling along the way at some of the Caribbean’s best diving sites, renowned for their pristine waters, teeming schools of brightly colored tropical fish and well-conserved coral reefs. Once on the island, you’ll have plenty of time to explore or just relax on the beautiful white sandy beaches. Savor a delicious Dominican style lunch, local drinks and plenty of snacks served all day to keep you going. And if you’re looking for something more strenuous you’ll love the thrills and spills of a ride on the banana boat. Or soar high into the sky on the Mega Wing. Then, sit back and relax your body as a traditional Dominican Carnival show starts with vibrant music, dance and colorful costumes.
