A day trip from Yerevan to lake Sevan Peninsula, Sevanavank, Tsakhkadzor and Kecharis Monastery.Be picked up and transferred from Yerevan to Sevan lake. Sevan Lake is your first stop and is on the Sevan peninsula with Sevanavank. Enjoy a fantastic view of the "Blue Queen" of Armenia. The moving onto Tsaghkadzor, the valley of flowers. There you will take the rope way up to the mount. After a short walk enjoy tea or coffee with the fresh air of Mount Teghenis. Afterwards move back to Kecharis Monastery.
Lunch is not included but can be arranged in Sevan. The restaurants in Sevan lake are famous for fish (Ishkhan or trout) or in Tsaghkadzor in a local restaurant. During your trip we will visit Tsakhkadzor city which is located in 2300m above sea level. In this city you will visit Kecharis monastic complex. After transfer to Sevanavank monastery which was built in the 9th century on an island. From there is an opening picturesque scenery to Lake Sevan. After transfer to another region of Armenia which is fully covered with forests. Here is located Goshavank monastery which is dating back to XII-XIII century. Then return to Yerevan.
