Nestled on a hill In Chiang Rai Province, is the community based eco-friendly Lanjia Lodge. Over 2 days you will immerse yourself in the local way of life through hiking, tree planting and meeting with a local shaman for tea. Your hosts, the proud Hmong and Lahu villagers, will take you on a life changing and very personal hill tribe experience.Itinerary
Day 1: (L,D)
Enjoy local herbal juice and begin your introduction to the Hmong and Lahu tribes, the Golden Triangle are and incredible giant catfish. Learn of activities that affect the Mekong River and the people whose lives depend on the water way.
Your guide will take you to the Hmong and the Lahu hill tribe villages, stop by the shaman’s house for a personal and intimate visit.
Lunch served at the lodge followed by firsthand experience on making the Hmong batik handkerchief or you can learn how to make and set animal traps.
Later, help villagers plant trees at the Herbal Plant Nursery Project. Dedicated to His Majesty the King, the project aims to improve and protect the quality of local village life through the education of eco-system sustainability.
Your day concludes with dinner and a traditional Hmong performance. Overnight at Lanjia Lodge

Day 2: (B)
After breakfast, a nature walk to the Lahu hill tribe community awaits. Observe families and their morning chores or watch the farmers getting ready for work.
You will walk a trail along the Mekong River and the Laos border with a full view of the valleys with plantations, corn fields and small bamboo huts.
You will learn about the burial ground of the Hmong Hill tribe ,see farmers working their fields of various plants and rice fields then circle back along a path and marvel in the natural beauty of the mountain ranges and steep valleys.
Returning to the lodge you will be rewarded with some time to relax until check-out time.

Please Note:
This itinerary is for a Morning Tour that requires you to be at Lanjia Lodge before 9.30am
The itinerary is also available for an Afternoon Tour that requires you to be at Lanjia Lodge before 2pm. Activity timings and meals have been adjusted accordingly.
