After meeting at the central departure point, your local guide will accompany you on a visit to Pisa. View the Piazza dei Miracoli as your guide tells you about the monuments located in the square. In the square rests the Leaning Tower, the Monumental Cemetery, the Baptistery, and the Cathedral, which you will enter. Once you visit to the Cathedral is over, take free time to explore the center on your own. Finish your break, then head to Florence where you will take a 90-minute introductory tour of the city. The guide will tell you all about the city’s Roman origins and you will walk over Ponte Vecchio, through the Uffizi Courtyard. Observe the Duomo Baptistery from the outside of well. Head back to the departure point at the end of the tour.
Day 2: Tuscany
Meet your guide and group at the designated meeting point before heading off to San Gimignano, a medieval Tuscan village. Take time to explore the village and UNESCO World Heritage Site on your own before moving on to the Chianti Classico wine area. There, you will enjoy a typical lunch including pasta, cured meats, cheeses, and local pastries. Venture to Siena where you will be taken through the alleyways of the historic center as well as the Piazza del Campo. For your last stop, visit Monteriggioni and explore its fortress.
