The weekend kicks off at 10:00am when the local Polish guide will come in and lay out the weekend itinerary (Tour Option: Krakow ‘3 Days, 2 Nights’). At 10:30am, your guide will take you out through the Medieval Old Town of Krakow, cross the Main Market Square and head south to the Castle (2 hrs). You’ll climb the hill to the castle for a beautiful panorama over the old town before descending once more into Kazimierz, the historic Jewish Ghetto of Krakow (1 hr). The group will continue across the river into Podgorz to find the Schindler Factory, the same one that Spielberg’s famous movie, Schindler’s List, was based on. Today, the re-purposed factory is one of Europe’s best WWII museums (1.5 hrs).

Your group will zip back into the Old Town of Krakow in style via an extended-cab golf cart, rocking out to tunes. After some time to rest at the hostel (1 hr), the localguide will take you to a fun, local student eatery. At 7:15pm, you’ll return to the hostel for a “Polish Party” where you’ll get to taste and try about 5 or 6 different kinds of typical Polish vodkas (included).

Saturday, Day Two: Oswiecim

At 10:00am on Saturday morning, you'll meet your driver at the door of the hostel for the day trip out to the Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps. This 6 hour-long trip includes an hour drive both ways, and a couple hours each in the two camps responsible for killing an estimated million Jews while in operation during the war. Your English-speaking Auschwitz guide will accompany you throughout, guiding you and sharing stories to remember the victims of the horrible past at this place.

After returning the hostel, take some time to decompress (2.5 hrs) before meeting up for dinner at 7:00pm. Once more, the guide will take you to one of the favorite places in town, this time a subterranean beer hall for food and drink (included with Tour Option: ‘Krakow 4 Days + Meal’). Afterwards, the group will head out to one of Krakow’s hundreds of nightlife venues.

Sunday, Day Three:

The itinerary is kept open on Sundays: climb a hill overlooking all of Krakow, catch a large flea market just outside of the Old Town, or take your time for cafes and shopping in Krakow’s hipster district. Tour members are free to depart at any time.
