Meet your guide at the reception of your hotel and drive to Kpalime
Crossing the border in Adeta to reach Wli.
Half day trek in the forest.
Wli Falls is the highest waterfall in the region. A flat footpath of 45 minutes leads to the falls trough a forest, inhabited by 220 bird and 400 butterfly species.
Optional: we can walk and reach the upper waterfall, which is offering amazing wild landscape
Overnight B&B at Wli Water Heights Hotel or similar.
Day 2: WLI – TAFI ATOME – TAGBO - WLI
Drive to Tafi Atome.
Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, created in 1993 to protect the sacred monkeys that live in the surrounding forest. In the tradition of the village the monkeys are considered as spokesmen of the tortoises. Both, monkeys and tortoises, are considered sacred by the population who’s the ancestors came in the region 200 years ago.
Continue to Tagbo to explore with another trek the waterfalls at the feet of Mount Afadjato, the highest peak of Ghana.
Drive back to Wli.
Overnight B&B basis at Wli Water Heights Hotel or similar.
Day 3: WLI – KLOTO - LOME
Early in the morning crossing the border with Togo. Half-day trekking in the forest of Kloto.
Meeting with the world of the forest: the majesty of trees, the cheerful greeting of the people living there, the echoes of animals, the sounds and of tam-tams, the green emerald light filtered through the branches. Under the direction of a local entomologist, we learn about the butterflies and insects native to this forest.
Continue to Lome. Drop off and end of services.
