This 3-day tour offers a unique mix of Tasmania's best day hikes with luxury camping in fantastic locations. Rounded off with good food around a campfire, this is the best Tasmanian tour to explore the sunny east coast.Day 1 - Launceston to Freycinet
Depart Launceston at 8:30am. Head down the midlands highway with a short break in historic Campbeltown. Continue towards the Freycinet peninsula and break for lunch on one of the many scenic stops on the way. Next, explore friendly beaches on the eastern side of the peninsula. This long white beach is perfect for strolling along enjoying the view and beach combing for the latest wonders brought in with the tides. You will then make your way to the exclusive accommodation and if you are up for a memorable scenic paddle, your guide can transport you to the point of departure. After completing the days adventures, cook a hearty meal and enjoy it by the camp fire with great views of Great Oyster Bay.

Overnight - Freycinet Eco Lodge

Day 2 - Wine Glass Bay and surrounds (11-kilometers/6-hours)
After a good breakfast,depart for the iconic Wine Glass Bay. Continue past the look out and descend to the beach itself. You will have time to explore one of the most recognizable beaches in Australia and swim if the conditions are good. Continue this stunning walk through mixed coastal natives and eucalyptus forest as you cross to the other side of Freycinet peninsula to Hazards beach. Wander north taking in the scenery and stop where the trial heads inland and have another swim then make a tasty lunch. Felling refreshed, continue on the return journey with a little rock hopping along the coast before linking up with the walking trail that leads back through granite hills and Casurina forest. After the walk there are a number of options from the scenic look out or Sleepy Beach, or if you prefer, a stop by the local cafe's for a coffee or a well earned beer.

Overnight - Freycinet Eco Lodge

Day 3 - Freycinet to Launceston
After a relaxed breakfast, pack up and have a chance to see any sights on the peninsula. Next, make your way back to Launceston via Bicheno and the Fingall Valley. There will be time to walk on the white beaches with red lichen covered rocks that are typical of the Bay of Fires area further up the coast. After a lunch break in Bicheno there are many options from walking in the forested gorges in the Douglas Apsley National Park to a visit to a great wildlife park that has a population of Tasmanian Devils. You will return to Launceston between 4.30pm and 5pm.

Freycinet Eco Lodge
Stay in exclusive canvas tents on wooden platforms. There are comfortable stretchers and mats inside and hot showers and toilets close by. The group will have use of the onsite barn for cooking and eating, but you will often cook by the fire and dine outside to take advantage of the spectacular views over Great Oyster Bay and see the wildlife that is abundant around camp. The tents are twin share.
