Embark on this 3-day excursion from Portland to Crater Lake National Park and back. Conclude your tour with a return back to Portland after a visit to the Timberline Lodge. Day 1: Seven Feathers Casino (L,D)
Begin your day with a pickup from your Portland accommodations around 8:00am. Head out to either Woodburn Outlet Store, Roseburg, or even pay a visit to Willamette Valley Vineyards for wine tasting. All are en route to your destination, so the choice of activity is yours.

Day 2: Crater Lake National Park (B,D)
Depart for Crater Lake National Park and admire the beauty of nature as you drive along the Umpqua River on the Umpqua Scenic Byway through the National Forest. Along the way, visit one of many waterfalls on the scenic byway. Upon your arrival at Crater Lake National Park you will spend half of the day visiting all the incredible vistas, visitor centers, overlooks, and the Historic Lodge. This is a place of immeasurable beauty and contains the Nation's deepest lake at over 1,900 ft deep.

Day 3: Return to Portland (B)
Enjoy breakfast, then head out to Oregon Lava Beds National Monument. The Lava Lands Visitor Center is the interpretive hub of the Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Walk the Trail of Molten Land and the Trail of the Whispering Pines, then travel on the fully accessible 5.5 mile Sun-Lava paved path. Enjoy a picnic under the pines and socialize with rangers before walking to the top of Lava Butte for a spectacular view of Central Oregon. There will be shuttles available for those who cannot walk to the top.

Next, head to High Desert Museum, a museum dedicated to displaying nature and telling the story of the early Oregon explorers and settles. Then, head to Smith Rock, one of the the 7 Wonders of Oregon, with its towering rock spires. Finally, move on to the Mt. Hood Timberline Lodge, an architecturally stimulating ski lodge and mountain retreat. Return to you Portland accommodations at approximately 7:00pm.
