Day 1: Zagreb
Arrival in Zagreb. Check-in at the hotel. Visit to Ethnographic Museum which assists in preserving lace craftsmanship in Croatia. In 2009 Croatian lacework was registered in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. We shall see the permanent exhibition of Ethnographic Museum (with the possibility of visiting the collection of lace work goods). After the talk the Zagreb city walking tour will follow (Upper Town - Kaptol). Dinner at the restaurant. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 2: Zagreb - Island of Pag
Breakfast. At 08:00 we are starting our trip towards the island of Pag. We will take highway to Posedarje town and then cross Pag’s bridge towards the town of Pag. At one point walled town this urban center was built at the present location in the 15th century according to the plans made by the famous medieval sculptor and architect Juraj Dalmatinac. We will visit the church of the Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary at the main square where former Duke’s Palace is also located in addition to sculpture dedicated to Bartul Kasic, father of the Croatian language grammar. Meeting with Pag’s lace craftswomen. Presentation of Pag’s lace making. We continue toward the village of Kolan. Visit to cheese making factory where we will learn more about tradition and technique of making famous Pag’s sheep cheese including the tasting of it. Dinner at the local restaurant. Return to Zagreb around 23:00. Overnight.

Day 3: Zagreb - Lepoglava
Breakfast. Departure towards Lepoglava in Varazdin County. Lepoglava is located at the bottom of the Ivanscica mount, next to river Bednja. Lepoglava is famous for its bobbin lace. Bobbin lace craftsmanship has survived thanks to Lacemaking School founded at the beginning of the 20th century. We will visit Lace Gallery and Eco Museum so we can, through the presentation of lace crafting and history of Lepoglava’s lace, better familiarize ourselves with the tradition of lacemaking. We will also visit the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Blessed Virgin Mary which interior is enriched with frescos of Baroque painter Ivan Krstitelj Ranger. Meal in the local restaurant and return to Zagreb. Overnight.

Day 4: Zagreb
Breakfast. End of the tour.
