This tour offers you the chance to encounter the mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable forest and at the same time enjoy stunning views of the Virunga Volcano chain and the Albertine Rift.You will have the chance to meet and interact with the local people in the area if you are interested.Day 1 – Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport we will be pick you up and transfer you to Papyrus Guest House (15 min drive).
Day 2 – Fly to Kisoro, walking and canoeing to the lodge
We will transfer you from Papyrus Guest House to Entebbe International Airport for your flight to Kisoro. Enjoy the one hour scenic flight. After a short coffee break in Kisoro, we will drive you to the starting point of the canoeing on Lake Mutanda. After the 2 hour ride, you will walk for approximately 5 hours up to the lodge.
Day 3 – Gorilla tracking
Depending on the gorilla group you will be tracking, we will take you to the briefing point to start the gorilla track which can take from a few hours or upto a full day, depending on the location of the gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest. Upon completion of this magical encounter we will drive you back to the lodge where you can relax in the afternoon or go for another walk to visit one of the communities around. In the evening the Nkuringo Youth Initiative will entertain you with some singing and drumming.
Day 4 – Fly to Entebbe and departure
Early in the morning after breakfast we will drive you down to Kisoro airstrip to depart for Entebbe.
Upon arrival in Entebbe, we will have a room ready for you to freshen up and to have lunch and dinner before we take you to the airport for your departure flight out.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport we will be pick you up and transfer you to Papyrus Guest House (15 min drive).
