Everyone will meet at Chaotianmen Dock in Chongqing before 21:00. Prepare for the boarding on the luxurious cruise ship. There will be a required safety orientation and river briefing presentation waiting for you. The departure time is usually between 21:00 and 22:30 but could vary from one ship to another.
Day 2 Yangtze Cruise (B+L+D):
Sail along the Yangtze River today. Go ashore for an excursion to Fengdu Ghost City. Fengdu Ghost City is dubbed as the final resting place for all souls in Chinese mythologies, hence the series of temples and grotesque images ubiquitously found in town. Additional trip to Shibaozhai will be arranged. Shibaozhai is a 56-meter high tower leaning against the Yuyin Hill. The tower and the land around it were specially isolated and encircled by a moat after the Three Gorges Dam project in 2003 rendering it a gargantuan bonsai besides the Yangtze. The exciting welcome party hosted by the captain will be held in the evening. Just sit back and enjoy the Chinese folk dancing and music performance and you are always welcome to be a part of it.
Day 3 Yangtze Cruise (B+L+D):
Continue sailing pass the mesmerizing view of the Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. Disembark for an excursion on a smaller vessel to the Goddess Stream, a very pristine tributary of the Yangtze River lasting about 15 km. Depending on the river conditions, alternatively the excursion would be taken to Daning River or Shennong Stream. In the evening, the ship is slated to pass through the massive ship locks.
Day 4 Depart in Yichang (B):
After breakfast you will start the shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam after sailing through Xiling gorge (eastern section). As the ship arrives at Yichang, you will disembark the boat and the tour ends at Yichang Port in Hubei.
