Stay 2 nights in Lough Rynn Castle and 1 night in Dunraven Arms Hotel, Adare.Day 1 Departing from Dublin today you will explore some of the highlights of Ireland’s ancient past: from the 12th century Trim Castle and ancient monastic site of Kells to the great Georgian mansion houses and the sad history of the Great Famine of the mid-19th century. In the early evening you will arrive at the beautiful Lough Rynn Castle Hotel.
Day 2 Today you will cross the border into Northern Ireland for a visit to the beautiful house and gardens at Florence Court followed by some free time in the lakeside market town of Enniskillen. After a scenic drive through the Lakelands district you return to Lough Rynn for afternoon tea and time to explore the impressive walled gardens.
Day 3 Moving on from Lough Rynn, today’s route takes in the fascinating monastic site of Clonmacnoise and the amazing Birr Castle Gardens,home to the Great Telescope - a wonder of early scientific invention. Your overnight stop will be at the Dunraven Arms in Adare - one of the prettiest villages in Ireland.
Day 4 Adare has a wonderful collection of historic buildings and you will have free time this morning to explore the village, castle and monastery before departing for the return trip to Dublin. On the return journey the tour will explore some of the backroads of central Ireland with more castles and gardens on route before arriving back in Dublin about 18.30
