Ever dreamed of sailing the Caribbean waters? Whether you are taking a flotilla holiday for the first time or you are an experienced “sailor”, island hopping in the British Virgin Islands is a special holiday experience. Set off to secluded bays and hard-to-reach islets where you can snorkel, relax on the beach and fill your senses with amazing landscapes. Throw away the to-do list and live an unforgettable experience exploring the lush islands and abundant marine life.Your Caribbean adventure starts in Cooper Island. To get there, you need to know that there are no direct flights to the British Virgin Islands. You must fly to a connection hub first before getting a direct flight or a ferry ride to your destination point.

Board your yacht in Cooper Island and meet your crew and your skipper. During a short briefing meeting you will learn about the finer details of your itinerary. Spend the rest of the day swimming, relaxing on the beach and admiring the view.

Sail away from Cooper Island and continue north to the beautiful island of Virgin Gorda. On the west end of Virgin Gorda, is The Baths, a fascinating jumble of boulders, some of which form interesting caves to explore. If the weather is favorable, you will take the dinghy ashore, where you will find numerous restaurants and fish taverns with fresh sea food.

You will continue your sailing holiday exploring the northern shore of Virgin Gorda and stopping at Marina Cay. Nested among three larger islands – Great Camanoe, Scrub and Beed, Marina Cay is an unmatched gem of the Caribbean. Put on your comfy shoes and spend the day exploring the island, snorkeling or relaxing on the beach with a fruity cocktail in one hand and your phone in the other hand. You will want to Instagram this.

Feel the wind in your hair as you set sail from Marina Cay and set off to Cane Garden Bay. Many consider this bay one of the prettiest on the island, with its fine white sand and lavish palms. A number of fun nightspots are located right on the beach, or close to it, so you can spend the night dining, dancing and making new friends.

Your next destination will be Great Harbour, where you will stop to admire the idyllic beauty of the Jost Van Dyke Island.

The last day of your British Virgin Islands sailing holiday will take you to Norman Island and the popular anchorage known as The Bright. Home to the Norman Island caves of Treasure Point, this is a great location for snorkeling.
