You'll start your journey enjoying the breathtaking mountain scenery of Switzerland before heading south into Italy, where you will have the opportunity to experience hundreds of years of tradition and culture. Discover the glamorous French Riviera and return to Paris to conclude your tour and be part of a truly memorable journey. Your seven-day tour starts with a breathtaking scenic journey through the Swiss Alps from Paris. You will then arrive at the picturesque city of Lucerne and see its famous landmarks, Chapel Bridge and the Water Tower. Enjoy your free time to shop or wander around this unique city.

Travel to Milan, the fashion capital of Europe and explore its famous landmarks such as the Cathedral Square, Gothic Cathedral and the beautifully designed Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Next, travel to Verona, the city known for being the home of Romeo and Juliet, see the Roman Arena and visit the famous Juliet's balcony.

Today you will start off by taking a boat ride to the beautiful San Marco, Venice. Alongside with your local guide, explore the Basilica di San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs, Doge's Palace, the Grand Canal and witness a demonstration by Murano glassblowers. Of course, the ultimate Venice activity is to ride through the warren of waterways on a gondola, and for most people this optional excursion is a must.

Vatican City and ancient Rome are the next destinations you will get to explore on this tour. Visit St. Peter's Basilica and make your way through the streets of Rome to visit relics such as Trevi Fountain and the Coliseum (entrance ticket at your own expense), before heading off to Florence to see a demonstration of traditional leather working, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza del Duomo.   • On Sunday, the tour will no longer include a visit to Verona, you will have more free time in Milan for sightseeing, shopping or sampling the local Italian cuisine.
  • On Tuesday, after visiting the Coliseum in Rome, a new programme offers you the option to either visit the magnificent Basilique Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri near Piazza della Repubblica or do a bit of shopping at the Mitsukoshi Department store before transferring to Florence in the late evening.
