After you are handed your glacier equipment at our hut in Skaftafell, we are taking you on a short 15min bus ride. This brings us close to the glacier tongue of Falljökull, where we are entering the ice.
With a small group of maximum 5 people, we are making our way up towards the icefall of the glacier. The small group size allows us to adjust the tour to the abilities and requests of the group. Once we made our way up to the icefall, your guide will decide on the best location for the ice climbing. Here everyone will get enough time to test and work on his ice climbing skills. It´s suitable for beginners as well as everyone who wants to improve his technique.
On your hike you will be walking past all the things glaciers are best known for. Big crevasses, moulins and small ice caves can be seen from a safe distance. All of this is combined with a scenic view on the big mountains that are surrounding the Skaftafell national park.
