Enjoy this 5-hour experience from Alicante that will take you to the city of Villena. You will visit the main landmarks and will have the opportunity to flavour some of the best local products in a well known winery.Start this 5-hour tour visiting one the city's main landmarks, the Atalaya's Castle. This monument was declared Historic Artistic Monument in 1931 and it currently is considered a Property of the Cultural Interest.
This rectangular shaped building with a double wall contains a big part of the city's history, being witness of several events such as the Succession and Independence wars.
After this visit you will head towards Fco. Gómez's winery. Enjoy a guided tour of all the different areas including: the chapel, the Bodega Square, the vineyards and cellars, bottling rooms, the Fondillón hermitage, the Sociedad de Nichos (Wine Vault Club area) and the olive oil museum.
The visit continues with a wine and olive oil tasting, followed by an Iberian ham one. All of these products have been produced locally and you will have the chance to take some back with you (at your own expense) before going back to Alicante.
