Combine activity and relaxation on a hiking and hot springs tour from Arenal. First, you'll enjoy an easy hike in Arenal Volcano National Park, where you'll gain breathtaking views of Arenal Volcano and its beautiful surroundings. Then, after having worked up a bit of a sweat, you'll be in for a relaxing time at the hot springs of your choice.

Depart your Arenal-area hotel for a leisurely afternoon hike in Arenal Volcano National Park, where you'll walk along the border of this amazing natural attraction. Your hike begins at the volcano's slopes, and although you'll be a safe distance away from the active crater, you'll still feel the excitement of walking near this majestic giant.

Inside the national park, there are various hiking trails along which you’ll walk with your guide. They include both secondary forest and lava fields from previous eruptions. Feel the rush of hiking alongside an active volcano, but don't worry about coming across hot lava, as safety is the number one priority and local authorities will not hesitate to close off portions of the trails in order to keep you safe.

After your hike, it's time to relax at the hot springs and enjoy dinner! Costa Rica is known for its hot springs, and you can choose the location that best fits your needs.

Baldi Hot Springs:
The relaxation area of the Baldi Hot Springs Hotel and Spa consists of several therapeutic pools, all with different water temperatures. The spa is family-oriented and caters to both adults and children .

Ecotermales Hot Springs:
The Ecotermales Hot Springs is one of the smallest sanctuaries in the area. Family owned, it is geared toward privacy and relaxation and consists of four individual pools ranging between 91 degrees Fahrenheit (33 degrees Celsius) and 105 degrees Fahrenheit (41 degrees Celsius).

Tabacon Hot Springs:
The Tabacon Hot Springs are the most luxurious and closest to Arenal Volcano, so you can enjoy panoramic views of the crater as you relax. Tabacon was also the first hot springs to be opened to the public in the Arenal region – it’s a Costa Rica favorite!
