Puerto Vallarta has a well-developed art scene which you’ll discover on this escorted, informative, and introductory walking tour. Even if you’ve browsed our galleries before, on our walking tour you will meet local, national, and internationally known artists. Come more than once, our artists change every week. Learn about the creative process. Ask questions. There’s time to view a wide variety of art but you’ll want to return.
We join at Galleria Dante, Basilio Badillo 269A in Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone. Our tour begins at 5:30 pm so please arrive a few minutes minutes early. For visitors staying in the Hotel Zone (travel time 20 minutes/taxi about 100 pesos or Nuevo Vallarta (travel time 40 minutes/taxi about 200-250 pesos),come south and see the real Puerto Vallarta.
You’ll receive a warm welcome from Claire, the owner of the gallery. We’ll visit 4 of Puerto Vallarta top galleries, all within easy walking distance. These include: Galleria Dante, Galleria Contempo and the galleries of internationally renowned artist Kathleen Carrillo and jewelry designer and artist Cassandra Shaw. Take time and conduct a little research yourself on these artists and galleries. You’ll be amazed. Space constraints here only allow us to give you an overview.
First, we enjoy two Mexican wine tastings in the hacienda-styled garden of Galleria Dante conducted by Gena, the knowledgeable owner of Di Vino Dante. Appetizers are paired with the wines. Then, we visit the other 3 galleries spending about a half-hour in each. We return around 8 pm to Di Vino Dante’s beautiful restaurant for 2 more tastings and a gourmet, multi-course tapas meal with a full pour of wine. Your evening ends about 9:30 pm. Our artists change every week so visit us more than once. This tour is seasonal. Reservations are required a minimum of 48 hours in advance to ensure our artists’ participation. Standard fees for cancellations less than 7 days prior apply.
