Enjoy a day trip to the Atacama Salt Flats. Visit Toconao and the Altiplanic Lagoons to admire the incredible landscapes and enjoy a day away from the hustle and bustle. Your tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off.
Your tour starts early in the morning with hotel pickup between 6:30am and 7am. From there, you will take a one-hour journey on the highland lakes and Miscanti located at 13,779 feet (4,200 m) above sea level. During this time, you will enjoy breakfast and you can appreciate the fauna.
The next stop is the Atacama Socaire where you can observe the farming terraces and the village church. Then, you will visit the Salar de Atacama which is the largest salt flat in Chile and part of the National Reserve of Flamingos. You will also visit Chaxa lagoon to observe 3 types of flamingos and other species that inhabit the salar lagoons.
The last stop of you tour will the village of Toconao where you will appreciate the fantastic architecture of the belfry and church of the village. You will return to San Pedro de Atacama at approximately 2:30pm.
