Join this authentic Thai cooking class during your holiday in Chiang Mai, which offers in-depth, fun and interpersonal cooking lesson to all Thai food lovers. During the 6-hour class, students get to learn 4 authentic Thai dishes, range from soup, salad, stir-fried and curry. Classes also includes hotel pickups, local market tour and complimentary traditional Thai dessert at the end of the class.Our class starts with meet and greet during the hostel/hotel pick-up around Chiang Mai city. We will then head to the nearest local market for the ingredients shopping. Here, students get the first-hand experience, browsing and buying local ingredients. Learn the ingredients local name, choosing the best and understand the essential of these ingredients in Thai cooking.

After 30 minutes market tour, students will head back to the school and every student get their own personal cooking station. Before the class started, students will select the dishes that they want to learn and cook.

Soup: Tom Yum Goong - spicy and sour Thai soup with shrimp or Tom Kha Gai - coconut milk soup with chicken

Salad: Yum Nua - spicy beef salad with cucumber or Larb Gai - chicken salad with crispy toasted rice

Stir-Fried: Pad Thai Goong - stir-fried noodles with shrimp or Gai Pad Med - stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts

Curry: Gaeng Kiew Wan - green curry with chicken and eggplant or Gaeng Paneang Gai - red curry with chicken and bitter pea-eggplant

We also offer full course Northern Thai menu, which is non-switchable with other menu, to preserve the authenticity of Northern Thai serving style. The dishes are: Gaeng Liang - hot vegetable soup with dried fish, Larb Gai - chicken salad with crispy toasted rice, Aep Pla - grilled spices fish with banana leaves and Khao Soi Gai - yellow curry noodles with chicken. This menu can be selected by request as a class or group.

The cooking classes will be led by an experience Chef Aon, it starts with demonstration by teacher, tasting session and students continue with their cooking lesson!

As we promised first-hand experience, students get to make their own sauces and curry paste! Understanding the mixtures of spices and herbs, it's a knowledge that student can make their own paste when they return to their home-country. We also provide the information of replacement ingredients as some Thai-specific ingredients are not available in overseas.

We end the class with chef's selected dessert of the day, our complimentary Thai dessert for our student.
