After hotel pickup in La Romana or Bayahibe, your tour starts with the drive to the marina in Bavaro, about an hour away on the north side of Punta Cana. Listen to an orientation session on how to safely operate your two-seater speedboat, and then hop in and take off, following your guide along the coast and across the sparkling waters of the Caribbean, feeling more than a little like James Bond.
You’ll arrive at a snorkeling platform above a coral reef, where you can spend some time in the water with colorful fish and other Dominican Republic marine life. If you’re not an experienced snorkeler, just ask your guide for instructions. In addition to snorkeling, you have the chance to try SNUBA, a cross between snorkeling and scuba diving that allows you to swim underwater while breathing through a tube connected to an air supply above the water.
When you’re finished in the water, return to the platform to refuel with some provided soft drinks, and then jump in your speedboat to zoom back across the sea to the marina. Your tour ends with the drive back to La Romana and Bayahibe for hotel drop-off.
