Experience a great day in the middle of the nature on one of the highest Most Amazing Road in Romania - the Transfagarasan!
Spend quality time in a beautiful mountain landscape and ensure fine memories from Romania! Highlights include Curtea de Arges Monastery, Transfagarasan Road and Balea Lake.In the morning we will start our journey towards the Fagaras Mountains, some of the most massive and beautiful mountains in Romania, also named the Transylvanian Alps.
Our first stop will be in the town named Curtea de Arges, at the bottom of the Fagaras Mountains, where we will visit one of the most remarkable monasteries in Romania.
Next we make a new stop at the foot of the Poenari Citadel, a stronghold that became famous thanks to Dracula's Legend.
Now we enter Romania's most beautiful road, named by Top Gear "the best road in the world", the Transfagarasan, second-highest road in Romania. The road reaches his highest point of 2034 m at the Balea Lake. Here we will have an hour and a half break to enjoy the beauty of this place. We have numerous possibilities: Cable car trip between Balea Lake and Balea Waterfall, Lunch in one of the chalets or picnic or hike around this beautiful area
With our batteries full charged we will now drive back to Bucharest. We arrive back around 20:00 p.m.
