Get away from the hectic crowds of London during Boxing Day, the day after Christmas, and instead discover some of England’s most famous historic sights: Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath. Photograph magnificent Windsor Castle, marvel at the mystery of UNESCO World Heritage-listed Stonehenge, and admire the striking architecture of the Roman Baths in Bath while learning about these incredible landmarks from your guide. Midway through your Boxing Day tour, enjoy a classic English lunch in the picturesque Wiltshire town of Amesbury.
You’ll be picked up from your London hotel in the morning on the day after Christmas Day, known as Boxing Day -- a traditional, secular holiday that dates back to the Middle Ages, when servants and tradesmen would receive gifts from their superiors after the Christmas celebrations were finished. Today, Boxing Day is a hectic shopping day full of crowds, so this day trip from London to Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath is the perfect time to get away.

Travel by air-conditioned coach to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Hop out for a guided walking tour that takes you to Windsor Castle, the British royal residence. You'll have time here to walk around the exterior and take photos of the stunning architecture.

Your next stop is Stonehenge, one of the most mysterious and fascinating landmarks on the planet. Your guide will explain the history of the ancient stone circle, which was erected between 3,000 BC and 1,600 BC, as you revel in the wonder and mystery of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Who were the people who built it? Why did they build it? This mystery continues to stump experts and visitors to this day.

After Stonehenge, break for a traditional English lunch in the picturesque town of Amesbury, near the Stonehenge site (sample menu below). After lunch, your Boxing Day tour continues with a visit to Bath, a spectacularly beautiful city which stands on the River Avon. As you'll discover on your visit, the compactness of the city and the striking architecture of the Roman Baths and sweeping Georgian terraces combine to produce some of the most elegant scenery in Europe.
Take a walking tour that highlights some of the structures and landmarks that Bath is famous for. See the Royal Crescent and Pulteney Bridge, and see the exterior of the world-renowned Roman Baths and spectacular Bath Abbey. Your guide will explain the significance of these sights and give you time to take photos.

Then, hop back in the coach and return to central London, where your Boxing Day tour concludes.
