Upon arrival at the airport or port, a chauffeur will be waiting for you to transfer you to Rooney’s Boutique Hotel, conveniently located in the heart of Buenos Aires. After settling in with a welcome drink, you will be picked up by a local guide and given a tour around the city that will allow you to discover its spirit, its mystique and its charm. You will travel in a comfortable air-conditioned coach as your guide offers on-board commentary about each site.
You will start your journey at one of the main avenues: the 9th of July Avenue, where you'll see the Teatro Colon and the Obelisk monument of the city. You will visit Plaza de Mayo which is the historical, political and foundation epicenter, then see the Metropolitan Cathedral and government House, also known as the Pink Palace.
The tour continues south through the old neighborhood of San Telmo, famous for its antique shops. You'll continue even further south to reach the neighborhood of La Boca, famous for its stadium of Boca Juniors, one of the greatest exponents of the Argentinian passion: Football. Here, you will visit the famous Caminito, full of color, magic and history, passing through the port to Puerto Madero, which is one of the newest, most exclusive and most modern neighborhoods in Buenos Aires with its main areas of Retiro and Plaza San Martin. The last neighborhood you'll visit is the exclusive and sophisticated neighborhood of La Recoleta, where one of its main attractions is the cemetery alongside fine restaurants and cafes. After the city tour you will be taken back to Rooney’s Boutique hotel.
In the evening, you will have an amazing evening at “Cafè de los Angelitos”. You will enjoy a dinner and show of dance and singing dedicated to the history of Tango. You'll see 21 artists take the stage and show you the passion of tango. Watch professional dancers perform in stunning costumes and enjoy a delicious dinner – Argentinean and international cuisine paired with a generous selection of wine – for a truly memorable experience.
After the show you will be transferred back to Rooney’s Boutique hotel to enjoy a good nights sleep. In the morning, you will enjoy a Continental breakfast before being transferred to the airport to catch your flight or to the port to catch your cruise.
