Your full-time professional guide will lead you on hikes and offer activities like visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Hearst Castle, and many state parks and beaches. This tour is a NORTHERN trip, beginning in Los Angeles and ending in San Francisco. DAY 1* - Los Angeles to San Luis Obispo via Santa Barbara
Start your day heading north out the heart of Hollywood and toward the beautiful American Riviera and the city of Santa Barbara. Your options abound in Santa Barbara. If the sun, sand and ocean are calling your name, rent a stand up paddleboard or just soak it all in and relax at the beach. Looking to fit in some last minute shopping? You’ll want to stroll through the many boutiques along State Street. If you prefer to visit the Old Mission Santa Barbara or to take another hike, your guide will lead the way. No matter what you choose, you are sure to enjoy spending the day in this quaint California town. Later this afternoon, our group will roll into America's Happiest City, San Luis Obispo! (Hotel in SLO included).

DAY 2* - San Luis Obispo to Monterey via Highway 1 and Big Sur
Rise and shine! You’ll get an early start today, as there is a lot of epic coastline to cover. Begin your morning with an included visit to magnificent Hearst Castle. Next up, make a quick stop in search of elephant seals before continuing up the coastal highway along the rugged cliffs of Big Sur and check out legendary McWay Falls as it tumbles 80 feet below into the Pacific Ocean.
This afternoon, prepare yourself for the wonders of Monterey. Explore the bay by kayak, stand-up paddleboard or sailboat. If you’d rather get a closer look at what is beneath the water (like the world’s largest octopus), head over to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Want to see more beauty? Consider joining your leader for a visit along Monterey's famous 17 Mile Drive. And, of course, you’ll have to check out historic Cannery Row and Fisherman’s Wharf. Adventure, history and clam chowder await! You’ll stay overnight in a quiet hotel in Monterey (included).

DAY 3* - Monterey to San Francisco via Santa Cruz
The final day of your adventure is jam-packed with activities! First up, experience the stunning views of the Pacific Ocean from the many hiking trails at Point Lobos State Reserve. After lunch, you'll pass by quaint produce stands and check out the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Enjoy the white sandy beach along the Monterey Bay National Maritime Sanctuary and view one of the last classic seaside amusement parks in the United States. In the afternoon, you’ll hop back on the road and heading for the City by the Bay and a walk across the world famous Golden Gate bridge before drop off at a central downtown hotel.
