This tour of Cappadocia from Goreme covers a lot of ground in one day. This tour of Cappadocia from Goreme covers a lot of ground in one day. You will see the villages of Pasabag, Avanos and Goreme, home to many of Cappadocia's natural formations called fairy chimneys or hoodoos. In many of these towns, caves and churches have been carved into the formations. You will also visit the Open Air museum and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.Cappadocia is a unique destination in Turkey with its seamless landscape. Your tour starts in Dervent Valley, which is different from the other locations you will visit because it was never inhabited. The landscape in this area is known for its lunar appearance and rock formations in the shape of animals.

Next, visit is Pasabag, also called Monks Valley due to the unique formation of some the fairy chimneys. A chapel dedicated to St Simeon and caves where hermits lived are all carved into the chimneys in this area.

Proceed to Avanos, where you can experience the local life. Avanos is also famous for its handmade terracotta and ceramic art work. You will have the opportunity to see how the ceramics made. Lunch will be local Turkish food.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Goreme Open Air Museum to see the frescoes which tell stories of bible. The museum has sanctuaries, churches and monasteries from the early Christianity period. Then you will pay a visit to a panoramic viewpoint below the Uchisar Castle where you can see the castle and Goreme with all of its beautiful scenery.
