A perfect start for the visit of San Gimignano.Torre (tower) and Casa Campatelli is an 18th century building in the village of San Gimignano, which has one of the village’s famous medieval towers.The Campatelli family, owners of the tower and the house, donated it to the Italian Heritage Trust, FAI Fondo Ambiente Italiano, which accurately restored it and transformed it into a house-museum.

A notable’s house between the 19th and the 20th century Casa Campatelli reconstructs – through furniture, decoration, paintings and private memories – the atmosphere and the story of a Tuscan traditional family and a society from another age, against the background of one thousand years history, told with sophisticated digital technology that brings back to the origins of the myth of San Gimignano in Tuscany, introducing to a deeper knowledge of the city.

The visit begins on the second floor with a multimedia-narration, which is available in several languages (English, French, German and Italian). The duration of the video is about 25 minutes. Afterwards you can visit the family's rooms, where every detail is conserved and explained (in English and Italian). In the basement you can shop souvenirs and local products.
