Stop for lunch at Bell Street Farms in Los Alamos, camping at Morro Bay, and partake in stand up paddle boarding. You also have to opportunity to enjoy the 34th Annual Wine Festival – a celebration of the innovation, triumphs, and character of this spectacular region, and one nights stay at a hip n happening Ojai inn.Day 1 - Hop aboard your nostalgic VW time machine, you're about to discover some amazing coastal California views beginning with Palos Verdes, specifically Frank Lloyd Wright's Wayfarer's Chapel and Point Vicente Light House - these locales afford breathtaking views, followed up by a picnic lunch amidst the pines. Next up, a stop at the Venice Beach boardwalk, then a leisurely coastal cruise up Highway 1 through Malibu and on to our final destination, Carpenteria State Beach.

Day 2 - On the agenda today is a stop at the Old Mission in Santa Barbara, then up n' over the mountain pausing at Cold Spring Tavern for a brief overview of this delightful historic stage coach stop. From here, wander over to Solvang (Danish for "sunny field") nestled in the Santa Ynez Valley. After lunch, the tour will collectively journey on the VDub convoy west toward Highway 1 and eventually north into the heart of the Central Coast and Morro Bay.

Day 3 - After awaking under the sway and scent of the giant Eucalyptus trees overhead you'll power up with a hearty breakfast before boarding our private carriage for an excursion into wine country... touring, tasting, learning and lunching. In the early evening we'll return to partake of an open air supper, libations and stories 'round the communal fire ring.

Day 4 - This is your free day to explore the Central Coast. A few miles to the south of our campsite is Montana de Oro State Park with its breathtaking coastline, beach combing, tide pooling and hiking. Stay local and walk from our base-camp to the Embarcadero to peruse the shops, try stand-up paddle boarding (this is the perfect time to try it) or kayak in the shelter of Morro Bay. You can opt to cruise the Central Coast in your classic VW campmobile... Mosey north to Cambria - don't miss the Tri Tip Sandwich at Main Street Grill or Apple Pie at Linn's.

Day 5 - Back behind the wheel the tour will motor east along Highway 166 to Highway 33, letting the lush Los Padres National Forest put you in a reverential mood. Pause at Wheeler Springs where you will admire a narrow shed with an illustrious title "USA's Smallest Post Office", then continue onward to Ojai. The final destination for Day 5, the Charmingly rustic mod Ojai Rancho Inn offers complimentary bikes, coffee and tea in the morning, WIFI, swimming pool and a sauna. Feel free to walk or ride into town on the adjacent Ojai Valley Trail.

Day 6 -The Knead Baking Company of Ojai is where we'll officially start our return jaunt to Costa Mesa. Here we'll break our fast, then meander west and south, along the not so traveled highways and byways. One final stop just outside the Ventura County Line for a well deserved leg stretch and light nosh at Neptune's Net.
