Chato Peak which is known as the Arenal Volcano’s brother is a dormant volcano. You will hike up its west side and down into the crater where a beautiful lake is located. From there you’ll hike up out of the crater and down the east side to La Fortuna Waterfall. This tour is very strenuous and is for serious hikers only.

The tour starts at 7:30am. You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to Chato Park.

Together with a guide, you will hike up its west side and down into the crater where a beautiful lake is located. From here you’ll hike up out of the crater and down the East side to La Fortuna Waterfall. This tour is very strenuous and is for serious hikers only. There will be about 4 hours of hiking.
You will receive a packed lunch and will be taken back to your hotel at around 3pm.
