Your guide will greet you at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport or your hotel in Chongqing city center, and then start the half-day sightseeing tour.
First, stop by the Chongqing Zoo that is famous for giant pandas. The panda is native to this region and they mainly eat bamboo (over 90% of their diet). They are usually very chilled yet still fun to watch and photograph. It also has other lovely animals, such as elephants, zebras and giraffes. Afterwards you will visit the famous Ciqikou Village, also known as Porcelain Village, located 14 kilometers (approx. 8.6 miles) to the west of Chongqing Municipality. The village was listed as a protected cultural site by the State Council in 1998. There are many shops lining the twelve flagstone paved lanes that form the main routes. You can find many outlets for craft-works, groceries, tea shops and the like, as well as a horologist, photography supplies, drugstore and a tempting supply of roasted nuts and seeds, which are popular in the region.
After your visit to the Ciqikou Village, stop by a local restaurant for dinner and enjoy the most symbolic local cuisine - hot pot. Hot pot involves sitting around a boiling pot of broth with your friends and family, and cooking the freshest vegetables and delicious meat in the flavorful and spicy soup!
