The tour party will head east past the iconic New Regent Street, Margaret Mahey family playground and follow the Avon River up to the historic Pommeroy's Pub. There the group will have a chance to sample a range of local and international craft beers and get a chance to socialize with other tour participants.

After the first stop, the tour continues towards the verdant and tranquil Hagley Park, with opportunities to see some more of the transitional gap filler initiatives that have arisen after the earthquake. The second stop along the tour is at a quirky but secluded craft beer sanctuary in Riccarton. Like so many bars after the quake, many have found new homes in esoteric locations around the city.

The final leg of the tour heads back across the park behind the hospital before heading past the famous Antigiua Street boatsheds, Bridge of remembrance and Re: Start container mall. The tour concludes and the group is encouraged to stay for a final drink at the city's most notable open air establishments - Smash Palace.
