Descend from the volcano's foothills into the Painted Desert and stop at historic Cameron Trading Post, where Native American artists – Zuni, Hopi and Navajo – sell their art work.
Continue through the stunning rock landscape of the Painted Desert to Page and board your 3.5-hour long smooth water float trip on an inflatable raft. Marvel at the Canyon's towering cliffs, see ancient petroglyphs at a beach and stop for lunch and dip - if you dare - into the very cold Colorado River. You will float all the way to Lee's Ferry, a historic river crossing, and on your way back marvel at amazingly eroded balancing rocks by the wayside and walk across Navajo Bridge to cross the mighty Colorado once more.
