Your communist adventure starts at the Powder Tower in namesti Republiky, where you will hear the story of how the new Czechoslovakia Republic was formed in 1918. Discover the dark days of Nazi occupation and liberation by the Russian Red Army in 1945. On the way to the Old Town Square, where the Communism party leaders celebrated their victory in 1948, we pass the functionalist architecture of shopping mall Kotva. You will be also taken through the empty lanes of the Old Town and infamous Bartolomejska street, where former secret police had is headquarters.

The story of the Velvet Revolution starts in Narodni street, where students were massacred by state police on 17th of November 1989. Vaclav Havel became a leader of this pro-democratic movement and later also the president of Czechoslovakia. We take a break for beer, kofola or snack in an authentic canteen of the working-class (own expense)  Wenceslas Square you will learn about the 1960s and the Prague Spring, when the Soviet army crushed the nation's blossoming dreams of democracy in 1968. Visiting a nuclear bunker from 50s will round off your communist adventure in Prague.
