Minimum Class size 12 persons. Villa Oliva, half day cooking class of heritage Tuscan cooking. In one of Tuscany's prominent wine regions, just few miles from Lucca’s Medieval walls, explore this historical villa for an unique culinary experience. A day to explore, create, savor and remember, while discovering some of Tuscany's hidden treasures. Giuseppe will be your instructor, who welcomes you to the secret villa kitchen in this historical renaissance villa. The residence, located within acres of manicured Italian gardens, replete with fountains, grottoes, waterfalls and mythological statues. As you drive to the property you will be following the renowned Lucchese Villa Trail, unfolding like a postcard amidst olive groves and vineyards.

You will arrive at the villa at 10.30 a.m. and Chef Giuseppe will welcome you with a glass of prosecco and sampling of gastronomic specialties accompanied of course with a tasting of local top-quality extra virgin olive oil. The hands on preparation and instruction of a three course meal in the Villas historic kitchen will follow, approximately 3 hours depending on the specific menu you are tackling. Needless to say, a cooking class in Tuscany would not be complete without learning how to make hand-made pasta with a seasonal sauce. A second course of either poultry or beef will be featured based on our heritage recipes. As a finale: typical biscotti or Florentine Zuppa Inglese.

Normally Lunch is ready by 1.30 pm and is based on your morning lesson efforts and paired with local wines. For vegetarians, a menu will be prepared accordingly with the season. A certificate of Culinary attendance in Tuscan specialties will be presented to you, together with a recipe booklet and a custom apron.
