This full-day Countryside Canal tour will give you an insight into how essential the klongs (canals) of Bangkok are to the city and how they are part of everyday life to the locals.
After an hour long train ride you will experience these waterways and the attractions nearby. Lunch is included.In the morning, you will be collected by your guide and taken to the nearest station of Hua Lamphong or Bangkok railway station. Your guide will provide you the local train tickets to the south where we will discover the classic Thai way of life. After an hours scenic train ride we arrive at Suwan station in Nakorn Pathom province, which is next to the Mahasawat canal’s pier.
Our canal tour begins from here and our first stop is 'Na Bua' or lotus - water lilly farm. This is no understatement because the lotus farm grown covers the entire surface of canal. It is an impressive sight to see. You can a paddle small boat to the farm to collect water lilly flowers by yourself.
Our next stop will bring you to a snack shop that specializes in making ‘Khao Tang’ or rice cracker. This is a local product and here you will be able to make your own and try different toppings and then try others before you buy. We are then served lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch we continue our journey taking a local boat to visit an Organic Farm. Taking a local tractor we will ride into the fruit orchards where fruit is organically grown and free from pesticides and other chemicals. You can enjoy a tasting of whatever fruit is in season.
By late afternoon we are on our way back by private vehicle to your hotel.
