Cycling shore excursion from Livorno port to Pisa including English speaking guide, top notch hybrid bikes and helmets rental and transfer from ship to starting point and back.The tour start at the ship, you will be met at the arranged time and driven to the tour starting point, about 20 minutes away. We will ride through the beautiful countryside on a back road for a good part of the way to Pisa, and a stop will be made at the San Pietro a Grado Basilica, a thousand years old church built where St. Peter hold a sermon on his way to Rome. The ride to Pisa will take about 45 minutes at a leisurely pace.
Before arriving at the Leaning Tower we will ride through the picturesque Pisa city center where some highlights will be pointed out and you will hear some facts about the history of Pisa. You will see the Leaning Tower complex with the Cathedral and Baptistery. Tickets can be booked to climb the tower at a cost of 18 Euros per person (not included in the cost of the tour). We will stay there about 1.5 hours.
It is possible to add a visit to a beautiful park 3 miles from the Tower, where you can have a lunch and ride horse too with a local guide (about 20 Euros per person not included in the price). In this case the tour will be 22 miles long instead of 16 miles of the standard tour
This tour is intended to people familiar with bicycle riding on road with some traffic. You will be asked to sign a waiver before the start of the tour.
