Visit the best of Vilnius and Trakai highlights at one day! Vilnius, famous by the biggest Old Town in Central Europe, and Trakai Castle, located in a picturesque lakeside area, are definitely one of the most popular tourist places in Lithuania.Tour starts by discovering Vilnius old town: from classical Town Hall, the small church of St. Anna - a gem of Gothic architecture, old Vilnius University, central Cathedral square. Then move to "another" republic of Lithuania - Uzupis area, with its Angel and unique constitution. Church of St. Peter and Paul - one of the most beautiful catholic Church also be visited on the tour. After that you explore Vilnius surroundings - unique geological monument - Puckoriai exposure with its enchanting panorama view, authentic Exile Memorial, which reminds the painful part of Lithuanian history. Besides you visit literary Markuciai Manor, also known as Alexander Pushkin museum. Vilnius tour is finished by the Gate of Dawn -the only surviving gate from the original city wall, which is not only important from a historical point of view, but also as a religious landmark. 
Further you leave Vilnius city and go to Paneriai (also known as Ponar) Memorial - the park and museum, which commemorate the tens of thousands of Jews and other victims murdered in Paneriai. 
On arriving to Trakai you have short break for lunch, where able to taste traditional Karaites food (kibinai pastry).
Tour continued by excursion to Trakai Castle museum, where you know more about the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Battle of Grunwald, Vytautas the Great and other historical and cultural things. 
Drive back to Vilnius.
