Visit the Summer Palace , Wat Mahathat (where you will see the beautiful faces of Buddha wrapped in the roots of ancient trees), and Wiharn Mongkol Borpit , Wat Pha si sanphet (Royal Place).

To end the day, you will return to Bangkok on a leisurely river cruise admiring the beautiful nature and countryside of this area of Thailand. You will be picked up at the hotel lobby at 7am in the morning to visit the ruined temples dating back hundreds of years and venerated statues of the Buddha. You will be picked up by minivan from the River Centre Shopping Centre and taken to the Pa-In Royal Summer Palace where you will discover an interesting mixture of Thai, Chinese and Gothic architecture.

Then, we will make straight for Ayutthaya, once the sumptuous capital of the ancient Kingdom of Siam before it was sacked and razed by the Burmese. Visit the magnificent Wat Maha That, the royal monastery where the most important monks of the kingdom of Ayutthaya once lived, there you will see the beautiful faces of Buddha wrapped in the roots of ancient trees. Then you will move on to Wat Na Phra Mane, a temple located to the North of the Royal Island, of vital importance in the history of Ayutthaya. Admire the biggest reclining Buddha in the world at the temple of Wat Lokayasutharam.

At midday we’ll leave on a river cruise where you will enjoy a traditional buffet lunch. The boat River Sun will offer you interesting riverside views of some of the area’s main sites. On the way back you will pass the Grand Royal Palace and the Dawn Temple (Wat Arun). The temple was the old palace when Thon Buri replaced Ayutthaya as capital of the Thai kingdom.

A pleasant cruise down the Chao Phraya River will take you back to Bangkok, arriving at the point of departure at around 4-5pm. Create an unforgettable experience in the ancient Ayutthaya and feel like an explorer for a day.

Please remember to wear appropriately (trousers, jeans or long knee-length skirt are permitted) to enter the temples.
