This tour departs from Gang-gyan Hotel Lhasa for Potala palace where you will see important collections of ancient artifacts and pilgrims practicing koras (a religious worship by circling around a sacred building or mountain), and then onto Jorkhang Temple, home of the oldest statues of young Buddha Sakyamuni as well as souvenirs shopping at nearby Barkhor Street.

This tour departs from Gang-gyan Hotel Lhasa for Potala palace where you will see important collections of ancient artifacts and pilgrims practicing koras (a religious worship by circling around a sacred building or mountain), and then onto Jorkhang Temple, home of the oldest statues of young Buddha Sakyamuni as well as souvenirs shopping at nearby Barkhor Street. Start from Gang-gyan Hotel Lhasa at 9:30am, your tour guide will first bring you to Potala Palace, winter palace of Dalai lama, which was put to use since 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet with most valuable collections of Potala Palace including gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet. You will spend your morning exploring the magnificent palace till noon. Lunch is at your own cost and your trusty tour guide could give you recommendations.

After lunch, you will head to Jokhang Temple which was also founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century to promote Buddhism. Inside the temple, you will see the statue of young Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve, probably the most venerated object in Tibetan Buddhism. Around the temple, there is Barkhor Street where you can practice kora (a religious worship by circling around a sacred building or mountain) with pilgrims and locals as well as shopping for souvenirs. After the visiting Barkhor Street, your will be transferred back to Gang-gyan Hotel Lhasa.
