This private one day tour departing from Bucharest will take you through centuries of Romanian history and culture. The main attractions are the Palace of Mogosoaia, an early 18th century construction restored by one of Romania's most famous and talented princesses approximately one hundred years ago. Also, the 15th Century Snagov Church, and the medieval fortress of Targoviste, once the court of legendary prince Vlad the Impaler.The itinerary:

9:30am
Private transfer from your hotel to Mogosoaia Palace.

10am - 11am
Visit the Palace of Mogosoaia, a wonderful construction dating from 1702, the finest example of the local architectural style 'Brancovenesc'.

11am - 12pm
Lunch (own expense). After lunch, transfer to Snagov, the next stop on your itinerary.

1pm - 1:30pm
Visit the church of Snagov, scenically located on a small island on Snagov Lake. This beautiful church was once part of a powerful monastery and is supposedly the burial place of Vlad the Impaler.

3pm - 4:30pm
Explore the medieval fortress of Targoviste, the medieval capital of the historical province of Southern Romania, fortified by Vlad the Impaler during his reign. The fortress also has a small exhibition focused exclusively on Vlad the Implaler, the prince who inspired the myth of Dracula. Also you will visit a small museum that features a collection of some of the oldest books in the country.

6pm
Estimated time of arrival back to your hotel or other centrally located drop-off point as chosen by you.
