Every Saturday and Sunday, from June to September, you can paddle down the North Saskatchewan River from Devon to Edmonton. Explore the changing scenery of the valley, spot wildlife, catch a fish, or go swimming. Trip includes 2-person canoes, paddles life vests, required safety equipment and transportation to the starting point of your river trip. Paddle downstream at your own leisure and expect to spend 5 to 6 hours on the water plus breaks. These trips are suitable for inexperienced paddlers and great way to experience the beautiful river valley from a different point of view.

Every Saturday and Sunday, from June to September, you can paddle down the North Saskatchewan River from Devon to Edmonton. Trip includes 2-person canoes, paddles life vests, required safety equipment and transportation to the starting point of your river trip. These trips are suitable for inexperienced paddlers and great way to experience the beautiful river valley from a different point of view. Shuttles depart at 9am from Emily Murphy Park in Edmonton (south shore of the river) every Saturday or Sunday morning. Drive into the park and turn left at the T-intersection. Meet in the parking lot next to the Groat Road Bridge. From there, your local tour operator will take you by bus to Devon. Arrive at Devon at approximately 10am. Here, your 2-person canoe will be waiting and you begin your journey down river at your leisure.

These trips are not guided. You can take as much time as you wish. There are islands and spots along the shores ideal for exploring and short breaks. Don't forget to bring sunscreen, water, lunch and rain gear. Eagles, deer, beaver and other wildlife are often spotted in the forested valley, there is time for fishing and swimming.

Expect to be back at your car in Emily Murphy Park at about 5pm.
