Experience the best of Nassau from a luxury air-conditioned bus that will take you on this interesting and exciting tour highlighted by a visit to world famous Atlantis Resort. Drive through Nassau to reach Fort Fincastle, set atop the highest point of the island, from where you will enjoy a beautiful view of the harbor. At this location you will have time to explore the fort and the Queen Victoria Staircase, do some light shopping on your own and take pictures. Continue with a panoramic view around the island of New Providence. Then its off to Atlantis Paradise Island for a short stop. The drive continues from Paradise Island through the colorful residential area before returning to the port. Your tour begins when you meet your driver/guide at the pier and get into your comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Departing the pier, you will make a stop at the historic forts of Fincastle, a small fort shaped like a paddle-wheel steamer. The fort was built to protect Nassau from invaders, but it never saw warfare. At this location you will have time to explore the fort and the Queen Victoria Staircase. You will also have time to do some light shopping on your own and to take pictures.

You will then travel along Bay Street, the heart of Nassau's shopping district, and home to the native Straw Market. Other highlights include views of the Government House (official residence of the Governor General of the Bahamas since 1801) the Governor's Mansion, and Gregory's Arch. This stone arch was named after Governor John Gregory who served around 1850. When you pass through the arch on Market Street, you cross the line that divides downtown Nassau from the rest of the country.

Next you will travel to Paradise Island, an island connected to New Providence by two bridges that cross Nassau Harbor. The highlight of Paradise Island is the world famous Atlantis Resort. Atlantis is a magnificent resort encompassing over 3,000 hotel rooms, 20 restaurants, a wide variety of stores, a 123-acre water park, beautiful beaches and the largest casino in the Bahamas. The total cost to construct Atlantis was over $2 billion. Your tour will make a short stop at Atlantis where you will have free time to explore the amazing lobby, casino, or the shops. After your free time, you will be driven back to your ship.

For those customers who wish to see more of Atlantis, a variety of options are available for purchase at the resort. The "Discover Atlantis Beach Pass" (adults $69, children $40) provides access to the aquarium, the beach, restaurants where you can purchase food and drink and entrance to the Dig, a maze of interconnected tunnels and chambers with ruins and underwater inhabitants depicting the Lost City of Atlantis. The “Aquaventure Pass” (adults $130, children $80) provides access to the aquarium, beach, pools, water slides, the Dig, and restaurants where you can purchase food and drink. Those customers choosing to purchase either of these packages, or spend more time exploring Atlantis, will want to stay at the resort longer than the tour stop.

Guests wishing to extend their tour at Atlantis, will need to arrange a taxi back to the ship pier at their own expense. There are many taxis available at Atlantis and the approximate cost of the ride to the ship pier is $5/person. It is up to the guest to make sure they are back to their ship before sailing time. The Discover Atlantis Beach and Aquaventure Passes are subject to availability and prices are approximate.
