Discover Scuba Diving in the Sea.
Your Discover Scuba Dive starts with a 30- to 45-minute lesson at the dive shop on the Livingstone Jan Thiel Resort. In this lesson you'll learn how to put your dive equipment together and other basic diving skills.
Once you are all set then you are ready to go to the dive location, the Tugboat, which is one of Curaçao's most famous and popular dive sites. Named after the tugboat that was accidentally sunk years ago, this little wreck rests at just 17 feet (5 meters).
Before you will start with the dive, you will get to try and experience what it's like to breathe underwater. Once you feel confident enough, your instructor takes you to explore the underwater world, up to a maximum depth of 39 feet (12 meters).
When you dive, you will follow behind your tour guide in a small group, enjoying customized attention and the flexibility to move at your own pace while you get used to being underwater and practice diving techniques.
You will experience what it is like to be close to beautiful coral and caribbean fish.
